We had such a great week last week when Devin, Sarah and baby Eva came home to hear Whitney speak in Sacrament meeting and to spend a little time with her before she leaves next week for her mission. We spent lots of time in the pool and eating (we had a barbecue on Saturday afternoon, then an open house on Saturday night where we served Russian blintzes, and then we had Cafe Rio sweet pork salad for dinner after church) and partying with Kay and Ken and Whitney's posse. Whitney had 14 friends come from Provo for the weekend. Whitney gave a beautiful talk in church. It was a wonderful week. We'll miss you so much Whit!
Whiter-poo, I love you!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea having this record of your mission. I haven't seen any missionary more prepared than you....some choose to begin a month or two before their mission to prepare not only physically but spiritually, some begin their freshman year in high school, etc.; but you, miss whiter-poo have been preparing your whole life for life as a missionary through your goodness, full of light and lift personality, study, great choices and most of all being a traveling companion for your favorite aunt...me! I love you lots and lots and look forward to seeing the stories of the lives you will help change for the better as you share the good news of the gospel as well as the stories which will show the positive changes which you will experience that go deep into the soul and only come through the kind of service a mission affords. Today is the day that you will be entering the mission field and my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Knock em dead, Miss Missionary, like noone else can but our Whiter-poo.
